Dit is volgens mij Amerikaans Engelse terminologie.
Boardstock = dakbeschot (Kluwer) of isolatieplaat (in dit geval voor plaate daken)
spudding = is een methode van verwijdering van dankbedekking op bestaande platte daken, zodat de nieuwe isolatieplaten een goede ondergrond hebben voor het vastlijmen.

board = plaat, plank, board, maar ook de werkwoorden beplanken, beplaten
stock = lat, stok, hier het timmergeraamte waar de platen tegenaan worden gespijkerd.
