Explanation:
the lion's share = het leeuwendeel (ik zie geen reden om uit te wijken)
the torque = HET koppel, of DE wringkracht

"DE koppel" is een band/gordel voor m.n. militairen.

met name door de toevoeging van "OP de wielen" neig ik toch naar het gebruik van het woord "wringkracht". (vooral vanwege de uitgeoefende "kracht OP" de wielen, wat toch een staande uitdrukking is).

Explanation:
Een koppel is een samenstel van twee even grote maar tegengesteld gerichte krachten waarvan de werklijnen niet samenvallen. Als zo'n koppel op een voorwerp aangrijpt dan veroorzaakt het alleen een rotatie en geen translatie (verschuiving) van het voorwerp.

Torque, also called moment or moment of force (NL= draaimoment), is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis,[1] fulcrum, or pivot. Just as a force is a push or a pull, a torque can be thought of as a twist.

In mechanical engineering (unlike physics), the terms "torque" and "moment" are not interchangeable. "Moment" is the general term for the tendency of one or more applied forces to rotate an object about an axis (the concept which in physics is called torque).[3] "Torque" is a special case of this: If the applied force vectors add to zero (i.e., their "resultant" is zero), then the forces are called a "couple" and their moment is called a "torque".[3]

Inderdaad HET koppel.

HET maximaal leverbare koppel is een kenmerk van de kracht van een motor. Een auto met een motor met een groot koppel kan sneller accelereren.
