Ik zat zojuist fout: sorry! Een fascia is gewoon een dashboard natuurlijk, maar ik was in de war gebracht omdat het er in feite 2x staat (instrument panel + fascia).

Ik zat zojuist fout: sorry! Een fascia is gewoon een dashboard natuurlijk, maar ik was in de war gebracht omdat het er in feite 2x staat (instrument panel + fascia).

Explanation:
of voorzijde.
Fascia wordt inderdaad al eens gebruikt voor dashboard, maar eigenlijk alleen maar voor de zichtbare voorzijde (terwijl een dashboard ook bestaat uit een bovenzijde :-) !) waarin zich de instrumenten en de ventilatiemonden bevinden. Blijkbaar very British!
In de tweede zin zou dashboard of instrumentenpaneel goed passen, in de eerste zou ik misschien toch de voorkeur geven aan "... de zichtzijde van het instrumentenpaneel ..."
