English term or phrase: exercise shares
This is from a memo to employees who have been granted options; the sentence reads: "Pending sharholder approval of the plan your XXX options will become XXX common stock options and any XXX shares which you have previously exercised, will become XXX common shares."

I know you can exercise options, but I don't know what the translation for exercising shares is. Can anyone shed a light?

Thanks
Willemina
Dutch translation:uitoefenen
Explanation:

Succes :)
