Het gaat erom dat een vloeistof wordt opgeslagen op een veilige manier. Daarom lijkt dit me een logische mogelijkheid.
"... to hold the volume of the largest barrel/tank." is meerzinnig. Gaat het om het kunnen opslaan van enkel de vloeistof in een vat of tank, of om de opslag van het hele vat of de hele tank in een veilige ruimte? In dat laatste geval zou je iets met "omhulling" kunnen doen: "veiligheidsomhulling", bijvoorbeeld. Dat vloeistoffen na lekken uit hun houder toch nog worden vastgehouden en niet naar het milieu kunnen ontsnappen. |

Vloeibare chemicaliën werden tot voor kort opgeslagen in één van de in totaal dertig opslagtanks, met een totale inhoud van twintigduizend kubieke meter. “Veel van onze klanten bleken echter ook behoefte te hebben aan een tijdelijke opslaglocatie voor kleinere volumes”, vertelt Van Dop. “En op zo’n locatie moesten ook gevaarlijke stoffen kunnen worden opgeslagen. Daarom hebben we deze tankcontainerterminal gebouwd. We voorzien ermee in de behoefte van onze klanten.”
