English to Dutch translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng | | English term or phrase: transfer line heat exchanger (TLE) | Deze term komt zonder context voor in een octrooi over het bewerken van staal, waarvan bijvoorbeeld een 'transfer line heat exchanger' van gemaakt kan worden.
De engelse term verwijst zover ik kan zien naar een onderdeer van een kraakreactor, namelijk het deel dat direct na de reactor zit waar de hete kraakgassen snel afgekoeld worden om vervolgreacties te voorkomen.
Is er hiervoor een aparte term in het Nederlands? Zelf kom ik niet veel verder dan iets in de trant van "warmtewisselaarsleiding".

In thermal cracking of hydrocarbons, especially steam cracking to light olefins, a transfer line heat exchanger unit is provided in which cracked gas flows from a furnace into heat exchange tubes, which comprises a distributor having an inlet for said gas and two or three diverging branches forming with said distributor a wye or tri-piece for passage of gas, each branch having along its length a substantially uniform cross-sectional area and being in fluid flow communication with a respective cooling tube.
Misschien een simplistische gedachte, maar op grond hiervan denk ik dat het gaat om een *transfer line* annex *heat exchanger*. Overbrengleiding-warmtewisselaar? Dit levert helaas geen hits op...
Een vergelijkbare term is *transfer line reactor*. De letterlijke vertaling *overbrengleiding-reactievat* levert maar liefst 1 hit op... Niet al te betrouwbaar dus.
