Context:

"Choose to allow the web browser ActiveX or applet in the pop-out message to view the DVR images over the network with IE web browser after login."

Een voor de hand liggende oplossing is natuurlijk "pop-out bericht", maar dat levert nou weer net geen Google-hits op. Ik ben geen echte software-expert, wie begrijpt wat hier precies bedoeld wordt?

Explanation:
Een pop-out venster (of bericht) kan bij het afsluiten (als laatste venster verschijnen), maar pop-out kan ook verwijzen naar een bericht of menu-optie die verschijnt. "Out" in pop-out verwijst dus naar het verschijnen of naar voren komen van een venster. De tool-tip die verschijnt als je je muis boven een vraagteken op deze pagina houdt is in feite ook een soort pop-out. Pop-out kan ook de tekst zijn die (binnen hetzelfde menu of venster) verschijnt na klikken op een optie.
