common mode wordt gebruikt om een gemeenschappelijk signaal op beide ingangsklemmen aan te geven, bijvoorbeeld als er een signaal is met een basisspanning van 4 volt en daaarop een wisselspanning, dan heet de 4 volt de common mode spanning.
