English to Dutch translations [PRO]
Environment & Ecology | | English term or phrase: Self-sustaining “aquaponic grid” communities in Bangladesh | De titel van een artikel over aquaponics-systemen. Er staat een afbeelding bij van een soort raamwerk van kweekbakken.
Zou dat die 'grid' zijn of wordt hier iets anders bedoeld? En hoe brei ik dat aan communities?

Het is een hele mond vol. Autarkische/zelfvoorzienende gemeenschappen is een gangbare term in dit milieudomein. Het gaat hier om een gemeenschap die leeft van een systeem dat vis- en plantkweek combineert, neem ik aan?
Als je het helemaal wilt vernederlandsen kan je iets met "aquaponics-systeem" doen, dit is waar Greenpeace de voorkeur aan geeft.

Greenpeace spreekt ook van "duurzame aquacultuur", wat natuurlijk veel mooier is. Met die combinatie krijg je:
zelfvoorzienende aquacultuurgemeenschappen in Bangladesh
wat best wel aardig klinkt. |
