Explanation:
ik heb nog wat nagezocht en het blijkt dat 'barge' inderdaad gebruikt wordt in de zin van 'schip', er bestaan ook 'tank barges'.

dan lijkt dit me een adequate vertaling.

daar wordt deals weliswaar vertaald met transacties, maar hier vind ik contracten beter klinken

misschien zou "termijn- en spotcontracten alsmede contracten op basis van scheepsladingen" minder dubbelzinnig zijn... ?
