In een ander deel van de tekst hebben ze het over onsite en offshore, waarbij ze met offshore hun eigen vestiging in India bedoelen. Maar nu lijkt dat hier vreemd. Of ligt dat aan mij?

als ze elders in de tekst met offshore verwijzen naar een (eigen) vestiging in India, dan zal dat hier ook zo zijn, en gaat het dus juiste niet om externe of uitbestede ondersteuning. het "Nederlandse" woord hiervoor is ook offshore.
ik krijg de indruk dat je vraag stelde omdat je het misschien als "support for offshore development" las (??) - maar de development zelf is niet offshore, alleen de support ervoor.
iemand ontwikkelt iets, en kan daarbij een beroep doen op ondersteuning door een helpdesk in India die onderdeel is van dit bedrijf. |

Explanation:
In dit geval denk ik dat ze bedoelen dat de ondersteuning uitbesteed is. 'Offshore' kan ook wel 'in het buitenland' betekenen, misschien dat dat hier nog beter past.
