Explanation:
"inflexibele datacenters met een silostructuur", zo zou ik het zeggen.

met "siloed datacenter" wordt bedoeld dat elke server in het datacenter een specifieke functie heeft: voor office-toepassingen bijvoorbeeld, of voor databases, enz.

de term "siloed" kom ik meestal tegen in een negatieve context: een leverancier van virtualisatie-oplossingen biedt bijvoorbeeld zijn oplossing aan met als argument dat deze veel efficiënter is dan een inflexibel, "siloed" datacenter.

jouw bronzin lijkt hier ook op te wijzen: ze worstelen met inflexibele en a.h.w. 'verzuilde' datacenters, en wat zou het toch mooi zijn als er een efficiënte oplossing was in de vorm van bijvoorbeeld virtualisatie... klopt dat met de rest van de brontekst?

'verzuild' is overigens geen ingeburgerde term hiervoor; ik zou voor de veiligheid toch maar het woord 'silo' erin verwerken.
