English to Dutch translations [PRO] Marketing - IT (Information Technology) / Description of a new application | | English term or phrase: full audio and revision game | One of the characteristics of a new app which is being developed by an international publisher; this app is for learning (irregular) verbs and their conjugations.
I'm not sure about "audio" and "game", which seem to be incorporated in the Dutch language as such, am I right? To preserve the Dutch here, my guess would be "een compleet audio-spel en een herhalingsspel", but it doesn't sound natural at all. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks! :))) |

| | oefenspel met volledig geluid | Explanation: IIUC, this is a game to practice irregular verbs. That would lead to 'oefenspel' for 'revision game' (certainly not 'herhaalspel', as that would mean 'repetition game', another beast entirely).
A 'full audio game' would be 'spel met volledig geluid'.
What is confusing, is the use of 'and' here. I would expect 'full audio revision game'. Like it's now, it suggests a game in which one can do full audio AND do revisions - which doesn't seem to make much sense... |

| Grading comment Hi Jan Willem, The publisher has fully agreed with this term; he was also very pleased about us being so precise about the details! And yes, it's an audio and revision game all in one. Thanks! 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |

| Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Jan Willem,
This sounds much better! I've been trying to get some clarity about the game, since I'm also confused about whether it is one game or two. Their answer didn't help much, I've contacted them just now to clarify this. Fingers crossed!
