Het gaat om aansprakelijkheid/aansprakelijkheidsrisico.
Indemnification wordt dubbel gebruikt: voor 'schadeloosstelling', maar ook voor de vrijstelling van aansprakelijkheid, en ik denk dat dat laatste hier in geding is.
Het is gebruikelijk dat werknemers gevrijwaard worden van aansprakelijkheidsclaims als ze in dienst zijn van een bedrijf. Onder bepaalde omstandigheden, bijvoorbeeld bij grove nalatigheid of criminele acties van de werknemer, komt deze bescherming te vervallen en kan hij alsnog worden vervolgd.
