n. the death of a human being as the result of a wrongful act of another person. Such wrongful acts include: negligence (like careless driving), an inten- tional attack such as assault and/or battery [rest van het verhaal gewist.

Je zit nu nog met de moeilijkheid dit concept 'wrongful death' op het Nederlans recht te mappen, en hoe zorgvuldig je hierbij te werk gaat hangt van je publiek af.

Wat ik van de dictionary begrijp, is 'wrongful death' een CIVIELRECHTELIJK begrip, niet strafrechtelijk - en dat onderscheid is belangrijk. Het STRAFRECHTELIJK begrip dat erbij hoort is bv. 'involuntary manslaughter'.

Uit het blote hoofd zou ik zeggen: 'dood door schuld', maar jhe moet nu nog of een legal translation dictionary vinden, of een Nederlands juridisch woordenboek.

Dit is slechts een half antwoord, ik weet het.
