solejnicz: Sorry but this is neither good spelling nor good Dutch. First, "houd" must be "houdt" (third person singular). The rest of the phrase is not a common expression at all. For the rest, I understand of course your good intentions :)

voor mijn gevoel vereist "align" altijd een meewerkend voorwerp, op de een of andere manier. in deze zin staat dat er niet echt, tenzij je "focusing" leest als "to focus". de bronzin is sowieso niet helemaal lekker...

dan wordt de betekenis ook meteen een stuk logischer: ze stemmen hun "cost leadership platform" (wat dat ook wezen moge) specifiek af op de behoeften van dit segment van de doelmarkt.

(letterlijk: ze stemmen hun "cost leadership platform" zodanig af dat het zich richt op de behoeften ...)
