The gasket will be compressed into force shunt after mounting. (onder een stukje met opschrift 'ballvalve with bolts')
Ik vermoed dat het dit betekent (gevonden op Proz.com):
The term is mostly used in connection with bolted assemblies, where part of the (clamping) force is shunted through adjacent parts of the assembly rather than along the 'direct' force path/lines.
In dat geval is de Duitse term Kraft-Nebenschluss
Dat zou heel goed kunnen omdat de tekst duidelijk is geschreven door iemand uit Duitsland.
Iemand een idee wat de Nederlandse term is?

Weet het lang niet zeker, maar 'shunt' is in ieder geval redelijk ingeburgerd in technisch Nederlands. Bij gebrek aan een betere term zou ik zelf daarom kiezen voor 'krachtshunt'. Eventueel 'krachtomleiding', want daar gaat het waarschijnlijk om. In ieder geval even checken bij de klant, zou ik zeggen.
