Gezien jouw eerdere vragen -- gesprekken met HIV-patiënt -- krijg ik de indruk dat de uitdrukking 'to draw blood' hier inderdaad letterlijk moet worden genomen. De uitdrukking kan in figuurlijke zin echter ook zoiets betekenen als kwetsen of gekwetst worden, of in het geval van psychologische begeleiding bijvoorbeeld een confrontatie.
