"Gerecupereerd" komt weliswaar niet zo vaak voor, maar is bij een van mijn klanten de gangbare term. "Autologous" is een beetje problematisch omdat dat m.i. pas betekenis krijgt bij re-infusie, vandaar dat ik "te re-infunderen" tussen haakjes heb toegevoegd.

Bij operaties waarbij de patiënt veel bloed verliest, kan het bloed worden opgevangen en worden gere-infundeerd. Een hart-longmachine neemt de functies van het hart en de longen over, maar ik denk dat dat hier niet het geval is. |

als je het letterlijk zou vertalen, zou je uitkomen bij zoiets als dit:
een circuit voor hergebruik van autoloog bloed
dat is in ieder geval wat een hart-longmachine is
ik denk dat je in ieder geval moet denken aan circuit waarin bloed vanuit het lichaam instroomt, dit wordt bewerkt en dit eruit naar het lichaam terugstroomt
