Het feit dat ze zeldzaam zijn, maakt de zoektocht naar de juiste Nederlandse term er niet makkelijker op. Er zijn er enkele waar ik echt geen vertaling voor terugvind.

'caverneus angioom' zou ook nog een (meer specifiek) optie zijn, maar ik zou kiezen voor 'caverneuze malformatie':
Caverneuze angiomen zijn meestal solitair, maar soms blijken patiënten multipele caverneuze angiomen te hebben. Een dominant-erfelijke vorm met doorgaans multipele caverneuze angiomen is in de VS beschreven bij families van Spaanse afkomst.
