Ik heb ruggespraak gehouden met een pro uit het filmvak, en hij zegt dat indien de doelgroep pro's in de vilm/video industrie zijn, dat de term het best onvertaald kan blijven. Het is een standaard uitdrukking.

In feite draait het om het inbouwen/tekenen van geanimeerde of optische effekten in de beelden in een reeël opgenomen film.

Voor een amateur zou je misschien de term het best kunnen omschrijven als een film met toegevoegde geanimeerde of optische effekten.
