Het woord komt slechts éénmaal voor in de text: "Darded destrier". Een destrier is een bepaald type oorlogspaard. Het begrip wordt in dezelfde tekst omschreven als "een krijgspaard uitgerust met lichte bepantsering". Waarschijnlijk een soort bepantsering dus, maar wat?

"Barbed" is inderdaad fout, het zou "barded" moeten zijn, niet "barbed" (volgens Van Dale: harnas).
Mogelijke opties hiervoor lijken me "geharnast paard" of "paard in harnas" te zijn.
