Allereerst de betekenis van "trap":

Met een geavanceerd printsysteem kan men soms de mate van "trapping" instellen (is vaak geautomatiseerd) en ik neem aan dat dit wordt gedaan met behulp van een beeldscherm(pje). In het Nederlands wordt het anglicisme "trapping" gebruikt en niet de wortel "trap" omdat dit denk ik te veel verwarring zou opleveren vanwege de Nederlandse betekenis ervan.
