English term or phrase: shoot-through

Context: "...epoxy is specially formulated so that it will cure properly for shoot-through applications"

Aan de binnenkant van een romp moet een transducer gemonteerd worden. Daarvoor mag maar 1 bepaalde soort expoxy gebruikt worden, om bovenstaande reden, maar wat wordt er bedoeld met 'shoot-through applications'?
