Linnen wordt o.a. gebruikt om te borduren. De draadtelling wordt gebruikt om aan te geven hoe fijnmazig het doek is. 12-draads is al aardig fijn, maar er bestaat ook 16-draads linnen. Zonder verdere context zou ik er geen cijfer aan plakken, maar kiezen voor een redelijk letterlijke vertaling

Als het overigens gaat om omschrijving van bv beddengoed (zie je andere posting?) dan zou ik eerder kiezen voor "fijn linnen" |
