It's mostly about the term 'stacks' in this entry. This is the context:
-vehicle loading
- number of motors
- number of ES boxes (each ES box contains 2 electrical independent stacks)

Een stack (komt vaak in de combinatie "fuel stack") voor is een soort tijdelijke tussenopslag (gigantische condensator als opslagbuffer, condensatoren zijn gestapeld plaat/elektrolyt/plaat etc. vandaar "Stack" = stapelen) voor geregenereerde elektrische energie. Elektrisch onafhankelijk betekent waarschijnlijk dat deze energie alleen direct door de elektromotoren wordt gebruikt als "boost" bij overschakeling van generator- naar motorbedrijf en er geen verdere koppelingen zijn met de elektrische installatie van het voertuig zelf. |

Explanation:
Stack is in het algemeen een voorraadje. Hier wordt kennelijk door de rem bewegingsenergie van de tram omgezet in :
* vliegwielrotatie: accumulatoren
* electrische energie: accu's
Bij weer optrekken wordt deze opgeslagen energie weer gebruikt.
Ook vliegwielen kunnen elektrisch in het geheel geschakeld zijn, maar daar weet ik geen bijzonderheden van (is niet mijn vak)
