‌سقف‌ شيشه‌اي‌(GLASS CEILING) به‌ موانع‌ مصنوعي‌ و نامرئي، تصميمات‌ سازماني‌ و تعصبات‌ مسئولان‌ سازمان‌ اطلاق‌ مي‌شود كه‌ مانع‌ پيشرفت‌ اشخاص‌ با صلاحيت‌ و يا اقليت‌ها (بويژه‌ زنان) در داخل‌ سازمانها مي‌گردد. اين‌ اصطلاح‌ به‌ مفهوم‌ نقطه‌اي‌ است‌ كه‌ پس‌ از آن، اقليتها يا مديران‌ زن‌ ديگر امكان‌ ارتقا پيدا نمي‌كنند. اين‌ اصطلاح‌ از دهه‌ 1970 در آمريكا شكل‌ گرفت.
