Dear Simon 18:52 Apr 23, 2011
In fact I am a part Turkish and part Kurdish, so I think I can provide you with some information. I have never heard of such thing such as (آغدا، عقیده). To give you some information regarding this, I should say that we have terms such as آق meaning white, and آقلق whiteness. I think it may be refering to these terms. As far as I am concerned, in the past Turkish people used to use آق ساگز، or آق سقز as a substance to remove unwanted hairs of their body, it may be referring to this. آق سقز or آق ساگز depending on the pronounciation refers to سقز or آدامس سقز in Persin, which in English means a kind of chewing gum. As a result as I mentioned آق سقز, or even آقلق may be referring to that kind of chewin gum which was white in colour. I you need more information regarding Turkish words, please don't hesitate, may be I can help you. |
