English term or phrase: NIH (and) NOH
"NIH-attitude is not acceptable in our company."

-I have come across with this term in business texts. I think it is short for "Not invented here" and it originates from World War II but what it (or NOH) actually refers to I have no idea. Thanks in advance : )

Finnish translation:ylimielinen suhtautuminen
Explanation:
You're right, NIH stands for "not invented here". It refers to the attitude you may face when you suggest something (e.g. new ways of doing things) to other people/companies who think they know what they are doing.

In Finnish you might here comments like "Älä tuu äitiäs opettaan";-) There does not seem to be standard Finnish translation for it. => Ylimielinen could be replaced by "alentuva", "väheksyvä", "halveksuva" or something of the kind, depending on the context... Something that would indicate, that ideas from outsiders are not appreaciated.
