Although multiple fractions are seldom used in minerals analysis, every analysis code must have at least one analysis fraction.
Analysis fractions are used to subdivide aliquots within a laboratory job. They are most often used on organic extractions and are seldom used in minerals analysis. Notwithstanding this, every aliquot in a lab must have at least one analysis fraction, so every analysis code should have a minimum of one fraction defined for it.
