Bonjour,

j'ai un texte décrivant les activités d'une organisation internationale XXX et j'ai la phrase suivante :"XXX has already started using this option, with 21 calls in 2007, which will increase further in 2008 with a budget in excess of €2.5 m".
N'étant pas du tout familière avec ce qui est gestion et comptabilité, je me demande si on parle de "budget en excès", "budget positif" ou "budget" (tout court) de 2.5 millions d'euro...

Explanation:
En fait, tu as mal compris, "in excess" ne se rapporte pas à "budget" mais au chiffre qui suit. L'auteur aurait tout aussi bien pu dire "budget of more than ...euros"

Excédent budgétaire


Explanation:
Je dirais que excess se rapporte bel et bien à budget et excess = excédent. On parle aussi de "excess budget".

C'est un terme qui ne s'emploie que pour les organismes, associations/organisations à but non lucratifs. Les organismes à but lucratif parleraient plutôt de "bénéfice".
