English term or phrase: storefront studio
"You have a remarkably quaint, tiny storefront studio in Brooklyn."

Il s'agit d'un entretien avec 2 jeunes designers possédant une agence et travaillant dans le journalisme et la publicité.
Que désigne "storefront studio" ici? Sachant que "storefront" correspond à la devanture d'un magasin, s'agit-il d'une agence aménagée dans une boutique?
J'ai pensé que cela pouvait être une agence qui a "pignon sur rue", mais cette expression me gêne en français dans la mesure où elle implique une idée de notoriété qui n'apparaît pas dans l'anglais...

Explanation:
"...un petit studio viellot `à l'entrée libre." I'm not sure which one I would use, (studio or atelier), but to me "storefront" conveys the message that one can walk in and do business (thus "entrée libre")
