Tout dépend du contexte, mais si c'est au Royaume - Uni, l'attorney peut être un avoué qui ne plaide que dans les juridictions supérieures et le lawyer un avocat.

Attorney = Avocat

In the UK there are Barristers and Solicitors. Solicitors write up conclusions and contracts, Barristers plead cases before the bench. Both are lawyers, as attorney is not the term of choice. In the U.S. attorney is interchangeable with lawyer: an attorney at law is a lawyer, like a Doctor can be a Physician.

Ça dépend de la juridiction où l'on se trouve. Au Canada attorney désigne un notaire ou un avocat, le premier n'étant pas habilité à représenter en Cour. L'attorney peut être aussi avocat. Pour être Lawyer il faut être membre du Bareau. Aux É-U attorney et lawyer sont syn., mais plus généralement l'attorney représente ses clients en Cour.
