English term or phrase: drop-in fuel
Here is the whole sentence:

Information like that likely will help the industry get second-generation biofuels certified as drop-in replacements for jet fuel.
I find often "drop-in fuel" on Internet, but can't seem to find any French equivalent anywhere I looked.
Someone has an idea of what they are talking about?

"Drop-in fuels are green versions of diesel or gasoline, according to Lane: "A drop-in is made from biomass but it behaves exactly like diesel or gasoline</B>. It's called green diesel or green gasoline. So it's made from bio energy, but when you put it in your car, you don't need to make any adjustments in the infrastructure, you don't need to change national pipelines. And basically you can distribute it and use it the same way you use it the same way you do your current fuel, it just has a better emissions picture and it's certainly made at home and available now."

Explanation:
Le problème c'est que l'expression existe en français, comme bio-diesel ou bio-fuel (au lieu de dire "carburant vert").
Dans l'aviation, le terme franglais "carburant drop-in" est déjà courant depuis quelques temps. Dans ce cas, vous pouvez utiliser l'expression, quitte à ajouter une explication entre parenthèses... tout dépend de la publication: si c'est une publication ultra-spécialisée, pas besoin de développer... si c'est vulgarisateur, là oui, c'est nécessaire!
