Certes, toutes ces remarques sont assez justes. Néanmoins le terme consacré est champ d'aviation. Par ailleurs, il me semble que la réglementation en France ne permette pas de faire voler de petites maquettes dans un endroit quelconque. La "piste d'envol" pour les maquettes est souvent associée à un "champ d'aviation". C'est la cas par exemple pour le champ d'aviation de Pézenas dans l'Hérault qui a mis à disposition une piste d'envol pour les maquettes à quelque distance du champ d'aviation principal. A tout le moins, je préférerais : "piste d'envol" ou "terrain d'évolutions".
