neutral  Tony M: Doesn't 'breached' specifically imply 'percé', 'pénétré', or something like that? / I agree, but they seem to be refuting that preconception here; can't see why the writer chose 'breached' if they simply meant 'hit'?

  -> It apparently does, but if the armour is "percé" and the device gets in, nobody survives usually...
