One extreme solution is the use of **no-collection surveys**, in which researchers simply record artifacts' location on the surface and leave them there.

L'expression n'est apparemment pas très répandue. Je sais qu'on parle de rapport de fouilles, mais c'est "report of excavations" en anglais.
Je pense à relevé sans collecte ? sans mise au jour ?

cf lien Internet où on dit que "le site est étudié sans prélèvement ni déplacement d'objets" dans le cadre ici d'une fouille virtuelle (je ne sais pas s'il s'agit du même contexte exactement, mais l'expression me semble claire).
