English term or phrase: avoidance of bucking
"Design is driven by fatigue and extreme loading plus natural frequency requirements and avoidance of bucking"

Merci,

éviter les vibrations

Explanation:
ça me semble être la signification ici

'Vibrations harmoniques' serait plus exact je pense

'Harmonic analysis involves understanding which of these derivatives come closest to the natural vibrating
characteristics of the physical design itself (natural frequencies of the design). When the natural frequency
of a design coincides with one of the derivative frequencies of the composite wave, the design goes into
resonance and results in excessive deflections, stresses and can possibly hasten failure.'

In this context bucking could also be 'oscillations/vibrations incontrôlées'

neutral  Sheila Wilson: bucking would be something more violent than regular vibration // I know it's not fair to criticise your answer when I don't have an idea, but I really don't "do" En-Fr. I just don't this accurately conveys the En term. I imagine something off-centre
