English term or phrase: surveyor
Bonjour,

j'aimerais avoir votre avis sur ce terme et ce qu'il implique en anglais, ainsi que sa traduction en français.
Dans l'ouvrage que je traduis, il correspond à la personne qui réalise ce qui est désigné sous le nom de "building survey" ("relevé de bâtiment", si je ne m'abuse), et l'auteur le distingue du "local district surveyor" (qui avait déjà fait l'objet d'une question et dont il était ressorti qu'il était le "géomètre local") ainsi que du "quantity surveyor" ("métreur").
Dans le cas du "surveyor" (mentionné tel quel), le terme le plus adapté pourrait-il être simplement "expert"?
