Le «car compound» est une pâte à polir contenant des abrasifs doux, utilisée entre autres pour faire disparaître les fines égratignures à la surface de la peinture. J'imagine que, si le client polit la peinture, il est préférable d'appliquer une autre couche car le polissage enlèvera une fine couche de peinture.
