Un indicateur de gabarit permet d'avoir une idée de la dimension, l'épaisseur ou bien dans notre cas, de la hauteur d'un équipement, d'une machine ou d'un véhicule. Il s'agit d'un témoin placé aux deux extrémités dans le cas où on a besoin de connaître l'épaisseur approximative, au sommet s'il s'agit comme ici de la hauteur, afin de pouvoir augmenter la sécurité des manoeuvres effectuées à tatons (dans la nuit ou en plein brouillard) |
