VEHICLE ENGINE:
The rotational speed OMEGA may be calculated from the revolving speed N of the engine (OMEGA = 2 PI (symbole grec) x N)

The revolving speed of the stepper motor is usually expressed in pps (pulses per second), or sometimes in the number of steps per second.
The relationship between the drive frequency and the rotational speed is as follows:

Voir www.batesville.k12.in.us/Physics/PhyNet/Mechanics/ Circular%20Motion/Obj_Ch9_Circular.html - 5k

Circular motion

When an object is spinning, it is rotating. A rotating object (CD, ice-skater, spinning top, propeller) rotates about an internal axis. This is a straight line which goes vertically through the object (e.g. the hole in the CD, the north-south axis about which the earth rotates)

An object which is moving round something else in a regular path (circle, elipse) is revolving. A revolving object (earth satellite, centrifuge tubes in a centrifuge, hammer about to be thrown by an Olympic hammer-thrower) revolves around an external axis which goes through whatever the object is revolving around

The earth is both rotating (on its axis, every 24 hours) and revolving (around the sun, every 365 1/4 days)

For a spinning object. rotational speed (angular speed) is the number of rotations in unit time (revolutions per minute, degrees per second)

All people on earth (except those travelling east or west in aeroplanes) revolve once a day. But people in Singapore are travelling much faster than people in Helsinki. This is because Singaporeans travel around the circumference of the earth every 24 hours, whereas Fins travel round a much smaller circle.

This is the difference between rotational speed (how many times you go round) and tangential speed (how fast you go round). Tangential speed (linear speed) increases with the distance from the axis of rotation

Anything on a spinning body will tend to fly off, unless something prevents it from doing so (gravity, seat belts). Whatever prevents it from doing so is exerting a force which tends to pull the object in the direction of the centre of the spinning body. This is called a centripetal force

neutral  5Q: This is what we all understood. But what is the difference between rotational and revolving, a difference that must be multiplied by 2 x 3.141...!!! That's a big difference in this context, so there must be two different concepts out there somewhere...
