Dans un manuel automobile destiné aux garagistes, au chapitre des contrôles du moteur :

"Is the **timing mark** of the crankshaft within a range of the indicator for ignition timing check provided on the timing chain cover?"

Je ne vois pas bien de quoi il s'agit... et je vais également poser la question pour "timing chain cover".
Plus haut dans le manuel, il était question de la "timing light" (lampe stroboscopique), "timing" signifie-t-il ici "synchronisation" ?
