je traduis un texte sur les hotrods et à un moment, on parle d'un "pin striper", quelqu'un qui vient spécialement pour peindre un logo sur le hotrod. Connaissez-vous une traduction pour ce terme ?

Je comprends ton point de vue. Mais si ce document s'adresse au grand public, c'est incompréhensible. D'ailleurs, il est surtout utilisé dans les forum où les spécialistes savent ce que c'est....
Je comprends bien ta problématique, mais le français qui veut faire des jolis dessins sur sa carrosserie est un pineur et il fait donc appel à un strippeur. Ce sont des mondes à part qui se comprennent sans que l'on ait besoin d'interpréter. Allez, c'est juste pour tchatcher et bon appétit. En fait si tu inverses pineur et strippeur, cela n'a aucune importance.
Je pense que FX a raison de dire que cela ne se traduit pas : c'est fun de frimer dans l'univers de la customatisation. En revanche l'expression française est celle de peinture de filets si j'en crois mon fêlé de voisin qui tune à donf et y passe toute la fortune qu'il n'a pas. L'aérographe c'est autre chose, mais complètement autre chose.
