| | gamme surmultipliée & etc | Explanation: Tout ça doit être des questions séparées, sans quoi c'est impossible.. : "Auriez-vous une idée pour "D range, OD range, top range, overtop range, SA range"
D = drive = gamme normale
OD = overdrive = surmultipliée
Overtop : pas standard, je ne trouve ça que dans des brevets:
"t has been suggested in the prior art to provide an overtop means presenting a reduction gear ratio of less than 1.0 in an automatic transmission system at high speed travel, in order to reduced the RPM of an internal combustion engine forefficiency purposes. The overdrive means for the overtop means is normally positioned either in the front or back of the transmission system, or, alternatively, an overtop means is provided to cause a reduction gear ratio of up to 1.0 at the desiredtransmission stage."

"OD, or OverDrive, is a 4th gear on the transmission that will engage when you are going above about 35 mph that lets the engine operate at a lower speed (RPMs) when all it has to do is maintain a high speed when you are going over flat, even highway. This improves fuel economy. Technically, any transmission gear with a ratio of less than 1:1 is considered "OverDrive". OD can normally be left ON except when going up a gradual hill; the overdrive tends to not give the engine enough power to maintain a steady speed. This may cause the transmission to annoyingly "hunt" between 3rd and 4th gear."

| Mar 3, 2010 - Changes made by RominaZ: | | Term Context | Provided is a safe and stable inertial force traveling method (...) wherein when the shift position of an automatic or manual transmission is in a small gear ratio range such as a D range, an OD range, a top range or an overtop range in at least one of cruise traveling or high-speed traveling of the vehicle, the transmission can be changed to the state of a neutral range by a release operation of an accelerator pedal (3) and the shift position can be changed from the neutral range to a SA range by a depression operation of the accelerator pedal.
