"Rev engine with loads on. Idle engine and turn off loads."

For a Charging System Test. There is also "Loads-on DC Voltage at rev" and "Loads-off DC Voltage at rev"

Context? Just what piece of equipment are we dealing with here?

In particular, are these test loads being provided by the test unit, or more generally, the usual loads on the vehicle itself?

neutral  Tony M: Not enough context to tell for sure, but I suspect these may in fact be external test loads...? / Sure, but some testers actually use special dummy loads, for a more repeatable result... hence why the context is so vital.
