c'est pourquoi j'ai répondu dispositif anti-retour car à mon avis c'est le principe qui me semble le plus important dans ce cas plutôt que la description exacte du système..

I think it is a tensioner for the timing chain, but I'm a not sure, as it's in questions for students, which are not necessarily linked to each other.
