Bonjour,

je traduis un texte parlant de mécaniciens spécialisés dans la rénovation de voitures. À un moment du texte, un peintre-carrossier vient dans l'atelier pour repeindre la voiture (une Plymouth Barracuda de 1964) pour qu'elle ressemble à une voiture de l'époque. Dans la phrase suivante, je ne comprends pas le terme "perforated vinyl headliner". Sauriez-vous à quoi il se réfère et comment le traduire ? (c'est le carrossier qui parle)

Il s'agit du matériau synthétique (chlorure de polyvinyle-PVC) qui a été utilisé dans l'industrie automobile, dès le début des années '50 pour remplacer le cuir ou le tissu comme matériau de revêtement de l'intérieur : sièges, panneaux intérieurs des portières, pavillon etc
