Electrical devices in the Veloster use CAN communication networks for each module depending on selected options. For example, in the push button start system, the IPM, SMK 2.5 module, cluster module, and AVN module communicate via body CAN communication. The cluster unit acts as a gateway between the body and the powertrain CAN communication networks.
The A/C control module uses the powertrain CAN and an externally-controlled variable-displacement compressor. This compressor does not require a clutch due to an electronically controlled valve. |
