The tool is made out of a used camgear from the same series engine you will be working on. Fabricate the tool by first removing the gear and then cutting about 1/4" (6.35 mm) from the ******exhaust lobe*******, thus creating a flat spot. Next, weld a flat washer on the end of the shaft where the gear was. To use the tool, remove the camgear and insert the tool in it’s place. Twist until the flat side of the lobe is against the exhaust valve tappet.
